Why X-Fit™?
Your horse relies on a slow moving digestive system to use important fatty acids. This often creates a problem due to the way horses are exercised and fed today.
This can result in:
- Stress on digestive system (i.e. ulcers)
- Problems keeping weight and a healthy coat
- Muscle fatigue from extended exercise (which can indirectly result in injuries)
- Limited production of ligament fluids and other important functions
When fat is ingested into your horse’s stomach, it must go through a tedious process to break down that fat into a free fatty acid form, which can then be absorbed into the bloodstream.
This free fatty acid is ultimately what our horses need to build muscle, stay energetic, and maintain a healthy coat and overall demeanor. On average, horses are able to break down and transfer only 20% of their fat intake to a bio available free fatty acid form. Just adding extra fat into your horse’s stomach will not necessarily increase the amount their stomach is able to break down into free fatty acid.
So how do we increase the percentage of free fatty acid to our horse’s diet?
We use an easily digestible vegetable based free fatty acid concentrate that is already pre-broken down by a proprietary process.How It Works
When the X-Fit™ hits your horses' stomach and small intestine it is already in free fatty acid form, and does not require the horse’s stomach to take any further action. This self-emulsification process ensures immediate cross membrane absorption directly into the horse’s blood stream, enabling the free fatty acid to then be distributed to the rest of the horse’s system for use.
With X-Fit™ added to your horse’s diet, they can now get up to 80% of free fatty acid utilization (versus the typical 20% seen in most horses).

Mix daily with regular feed ration. 3.5oz feed scoop included.
Regular work: 1-2 scoops per day (3.5-7oz)
Increased workload: 2-4 scoops per day (7-14oz)
Senior horse: 1-2 scoops per day (3.5-7oz)
